The Gentle Way – Our Story

As a movie animal trainer, I’ve worked with hundreds of dogs, most of them rescues. My heart-dog, Bonny, a sweet but spacey Shih Tzu, was the most challenging of all. I had a short time to prep her for a starring role, but she lived in her own little world.

Then she met Lola—a scrappy chihuahua mix who simply wouldn’t be ignored. Over time, Bonny began to watch, mimic, & gently open up. That quiet transformation stuck with me. Some dogs just need time, trust, & the right kind of setup.

That’s the spirit behind Pawdazzle. It’s not just a scratch board—it’s a self-guided way to make nail care less stressful & more enriching. A tool designed to support dogs as they are.

Bonny didn’t inspire Pawdazzle at the start, but her journey helped shape it in ways I never expected.
